What's the turnaround time on motorcycle chrome plating, powder coating, and paint work?

Normal turnaround time is 1 - 3 weeks, depending on the initial condition of the motorcycle parts and how much work is sent out. A large scale artwork paint job can be up to 4 - 6 weeks.

How long do vintage motorcycle engine and transmission rebuilds take?

Depending on our work load and how much work your motor or transmission needs, each motorcycle engine and transmission rebuild can take up to 4 - 8 weeks.

Can you get any NOS parts for most vintage motorcycles?

On occasion, we can locate some NOS parts for some bikes, but have a good variety of reproducion parts also.

What types of materials can I engrave and cut?

Engraving Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Fabric, Glass, Coated Metals, Ceramic, Delrin, Cloth, Leather, Marble, Matte, Board, Melamine, PaperxxMylar, Pressboard, Rubber, Wood Veneer, Fiberglass, Painted Metals, Tile, Plastic, Cork, Corian, Anodized Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass, Titanium, & Bare Metals (CO2 lasers will mark bare metals when coated with a metal marking solution)

Cutting Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Fabric, Delrin, Cloth, Leather, Matte, Board, Melamine, Paper, Mylar, Rubber, Press Board, Wood Veneer, Fiberglass, Plastic, Cork, & Corian

How long do engraved plates take to make?

All engraved plates are made custom in-house. Normally, we can get these out right away. Just send us a drawing and description of what you want, and we will do the rest.

What is involved to get a stated value appraisal on my vinatge bike, and how much does a motorcycle stated value appraisal cost?

Stated value appraisals involve taking pictures when the bike is brought in or mailed to us by the customer with extensive research on current market prices, which also includes the overseas market value. This motorcycle appraisal service costs $125.

Does Doug's Cycle Barn buy, sell, and trade vintage motorcycles?

Yes! We are very interested in vinatge classic motorcycle sales. We will buy complete bikes in any condition, running or not. We are also interested in any model depending on make and year. All basket cases are also welcome.
